Privacy policy

This site belongs to Maciek Hrybowicz, a musician based in Buckinghamshire, UK. I’m responsible for any personal information you share through it. This policy explains what that information is, why I need it and what your rights are under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

What I collect, and why

Contact form. If you send me a message, I receive your name, email address and message. I use them only to reply and to deal with your enquiry, whether that’s a gig, a session or lessons. The form is delivered by Formspree, which passes the message on to me by email. I keep enquiries for as long as we’re in touch about them, and then for no longer than two years.

Newsletter. If you join the mailing list, your email address is stored by Mailchimp (Intuit), on the same list as my record label, Maciek Music. I send occasional news about new releases and gigs. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from future mailings straight away. I rely on your consent for this.

Videos and music players. YouTube videos and the Bandcamp player load only when you press play. Until then, no content is loaded from YouTube or Bandcamp and they set no cookies. Once you press play, their own privacy policies apply: Google/YouTube and Bandcamp.

Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic technical information such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

Where your information goes

Formspree, Mailchimp and Cloudflare may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Each uses recognised safeguards for international transfers, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge. I never sell, trade or rent your personal information.

Your rights

You can ask me to show you the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it or stop using it. You can also withdraw your consent to the newsletter at any time. To make a request, use the contact form. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear here with a new date.
